Temple glanced at the tall blonde who was fixing her dress. “Mel, get out. The minister has work to do.”

She gave him a wry smile. “After the way, he just screwed me, I doubt he’ll have much energy left for work.”

Mel walked towards the door and reached for the handle. She stopped and turned. “Give me a call, Mr. Prime Minister.”

Whitfield stared at her and said, “Next week.”

She opened the door and disappeared. Temple looked at Whitfield who was fixing his pants and snapped, “Are you fucking crazy. You get caught screwing around now and this whole thing blows up in your face. Say goodbye to The Lodge.”

“It’s fine, Pete,” Whitfield growled. “And don’t fucking talk to me like that.”

“Someone needs to. What’s wrong with your wife? If you want to get caught doing someone in the bathroom, why not her? Shit, I’d do her in here.”

Whitfield stepped in so close that his nose was almost touching Temple’s. His voice was icy when he said, “You don’t mention my wife to me ever again. Understand?”

“Well ...”

Whitfield’s eyes sparked and his nostrils flared. “Understand?”

“All right. Now, how about we go out and you talk to the crowd?”
